Here's some of my work and some favorite kits from the past. My passion to buy, restore, collect and sell drum gear is only tempered by the available room in my garage!

You'll notice my love for short-stack kits here. Why? They just sound fantastic to me. The time it takes the sound to reach the resonant head is much shorter, making the sound more controlled and defined - not so boomy, which is perfect for recording and typical gigs. Less dampening is required. They sound incredible mic'd up for larger shows too. They are easier to stage, move and store as well. And the vintage look is really unique and appealing, given the flood of so many kits with 18"x22" kick drums out there. Ginger Baker used 12"x22" kicks, which also inspires me to cut them to that size. It's ideal to have both long AND short drums in your arsenal.
